BABATUNDE is the Head, Legal Enforcement and Regulations Department, Nigeria Data Protection. He has vast experience in Litigation, Legislative Drafting, Arbitration and 20 years experience in capacity building.

Babatunde has carved a niche for himself in the area of Data Privacy jurisprudence as a branch of international law and human rights law.
In 2018, he served as the Lead Consultant on Data Protection at the High Level Policy Roundtable on Data Protection for ECOWAS Common Market in 2018 (Involving: ECOWAS, EU, Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), Federation of West Africa Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI), Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Central Bank of Nigeria, Corporate Affairs Commission, National Office on Trade Negotiations, United States Agency for International Development, British Council, ETC).

NITDA engaged Babatunde in 2018 to help in drafting the extant Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
Babatunde has represented Nigeria at various international engagements. Babatunde attended the University of Reading Executive Course on International Law of Cyber Operations
Babatunde was appointed an International Fellow of The United States Federal Trade Commissiion in Spring 2024. .
He is a certified Data Protection Regulation Practitioner by Clear Corporation UK. (accredited by British Accreditation Council)
