Dr. Arnold Kavaarpuo is an award-winning business executive with over two decades of experience in Data Privacy, Financial Services, and Technology. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Data Protection Commission of Ghana, leading the country’s efforts in safeguarding personal data, enforcing compliance with data protection laws, and promoting responsible data governance across sectors.

Prior to this role, Arnold was the Founder and CEO of StacAi, a Financial Trust Infrastructure company leveraging data and advanced analytics to develop cutting-edge APIs for secure, efficient, and scalable financial services.

His career spans leadership roles in financial technology, including serving as Managing Director at Kuda Technologies UK and as a founding team member at Jumo, where he spearheaded the development and commercialization of Ghana’s largest mobile lending products (QWIKLOAN, XpressLoan, and AhomkaLoan) as Country Director. During his tenure, he expanded digital credit access to 4.6 million customers, facilitating over $2.2 billion in disbursements.

Arnold’s expertise extends to international markets, having served as an expatriate in Eastern and Southern Africa under Jumo World, where he gained firsthand experience in global financial inclusion strategies.

He has held governance roles on multiple boards, including Brac Savings and Loans Limited and Fixed Income Alpha Plus Fund, both regulated by the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Additionally, he served on the board of Insight2Impact, a Mastercard- and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded initiative aimed at bridging the gap between data availability and its effective use in financial services and policymaking.
